NCR (No Carbon Required) paper is a specially coated paper that transfers writing or printing from the top sheet to the sheets beneath without messy carbon sheets. Pressure from a pen or printer bursts the microcapsules, creating a chemical reaction that darkens the clay on the next sheet.
